I noticed the pressure regulator. What pressure is run underground? 5 pounds?
Ds,
I don't know anything about the Gas except that they tell us We must have a separation of 12 inches. Makes me wonder when I see something like this.
This service is slated for upgrade. We're waiting for someone (utility rep) to come look at it. Unfortunately, if the meter is moved from this location it will be under a window which is another no-no.
Is that a cable TV connector properly bonded to the service? If it is, I think I'll save this picture, it is one of the few times I've ever seen this happen.

Tom,
Yes, that is almost always done around here.
I'll sometimes even see it on pvc!

Our local utility would have coniptions
Conniption from someone hooking to "their" equipment?
Ds,
I'm not sure if he meant the original issue about the Gas & Elec in the same space.
By us the only thing that the utility owns is the actual meter itself. The pan and associated piping etc. is contractor installed and customer owned. I haven't heard them complain of anything except something foreign inside the meterpan. I once left a tail of #6 or #8 copper hanging out of the Meterpan (for Cable & Telco to bond to) and was told to remove it. I've heard others speak of the utility installing meter and equip so it may be different some places.
Update!
The Utility said that it shouldn't be that way and relocated Gas Meter to the right (behind fence)
