Wow. One word, Wow.

one other word.
AAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHH. Thats a major pain if you've ever got to work on it. Whats with the orange cord near the top right?
Just food for thought here.
If the 2" contains the IMSA cable for a municipal fire protective circuit it is not likely to be subject to the NEC.
If that 2" does run to a master box my guess would be that the 1/2" contains the grounding electrode conductor for the master box.
I think we can safely assume no electrician was consulted when someone decided to infill the area with concrete.
At that point why not just bury the whole thing in concrete.

There is a pad mount transformer in line with those two pvc's. I can hear the concrete guy, "You don't need an electrician, don't worry about it we do it all the time".
A fine example of "do as I say, not as I do"
John
That install just says "idiot" all around... a PVC 90 costs less than ½ of the LB's and you can pull through them
Seeing a strap on the 2" (?) is something that tells me the EC was there when the concrete came in. Unless the concrete guy decided that conduit was in need of support..
And to think this whole problem could have been avoided if the LB's had been installed with the covers facing up. But I'll bet the electrician had no idea they were going to be covered with concrete.
An absurd installation, made hilarious by location!
All i have to say here
QUOI ?????
that gotta be a good toe tripping spot
Merci , Marc
It almost looks like the concrete was done in more than one pour.
The backsides of both LB's seem to be in the same plane, and the concrete seems to change from gray to orange-ish at that point.
Look perpendicularly to the left of the larger LB, even with it's backside, and also parallel with, and about 2" to the right of, the smaller conduit.
Plus, that seems to explain why the LB's were not installed against the brick.

How often do you walk into a corner of a building?.
