This may have been in compliance a long time ago and now it needs help. Why can we find so many of these installations that have not be maintained?

There is so much of this, that I think people are becoming complacent with this ... 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it'.
That and the funds being spent on different things are the two main reasons in my opinion. When these installations start injuring and killing people, then more attention will be paid to them.

The lights work when the switch is flipped= no electric work needed.
Most people just do not understand and many do not want to spend any money if they do not have to. [Linked Image]
