Does anyone know if there is load calculations / wire size calculation software available for the Ontario Electrical code. There seems to be a fair amount of software, even shareware available for the NEC, but I can't seem to find anything for the CEC.

Just looking to speed up my tume for calculating service sizes, particularly for large services.

Thanks for your help.

I dont think there is any shareware, freeware for most of the Canaidian stuff.

Theres a few calculations at this site. http://www.codemath.com/cgi-bin/Run.pl?script=Cec8_200

I am not necessarily looking for shareware, I don't mind paying for a program if it will make life easier.

I appreciate your help

There is some CEC and NEC software for Windows at http://mc-group.ca

Three of the six downloads are freeware including the CEC, NEC and electrical calculator.

The other three are commercial but you can try them for free - voltage drop, underground ampacity and lighting calculations.

Let me know if this helps.

Thanks.

I was looking for something like this to guide me on an upcoming quote.

If there is anything even more up to date for Canadian Electrical code, I'd appreciate the link.

Cheers.

Sandro.
