Hospital grade switches have ground screw.I've told been told that since the screws ground the device it's not required?I told them if it's there use it but they want the rule#.

I think that 24-104(2) might be it. "...permanently connected equipment shall be bonded to ground by copper...conductors..."

Frank,

Although, it's a good suggestion, there is no requirement in the Ontario Electrical Safety Code, or the CSA/Z32-99 "Electrical Safety and Essential Electrical Systems in Health Care Facilities", to have the switch bonded to ground.
