Hi All!

If there r more than 1 Range in a Restaurant, what percentages are applicable. Please let me know the code rule as well.

I checked in Appendix B of Sec 8.208.
It says the way should be same as for Apartment. And when checked for Apartments, the way to find is in Appendix B 8.200 & 8.202

Is it
100% 8.300 (3) ?
or
25% 8.202.(1) a. (vi) B ?
Please help me.

Thanx in advance
Srinika

Hi Srinika : Are you refering to a branch circuit or a feeder or service. If you look at 8-202(1) it only applies to feeders and services for apartment dwelling units. 8-300(1)&(2) only apply to branch ciruits in dwellings.

If it is a branch circuit then 8-300(3) (both ranges at 100%) is the right answer. It would be very unusual to put two commercial ranges on the same branch circuit.

If it is a feeder or service you are talking about then 8-210(b) (both ranges at 100%) is the right answer. (8-210(a) makes reference to Table 14, Table 14 makes reference to restaurants, so you know you are using the right rule)
