I have one pretty good question for ya North América guys someone asked me a good question related to the solar panel mounted at seperated structure or building now for the NEC code stand point they will not only required the disconnect switch at the solar panel location but also a disconnect switch at net metering location where the solar panel controller will show up { there will be two conduits running underground } so what the NEC code stand on this one ??

I know in France we have required disconnect switch at both location for detached building.

Merci.

Yes I believe you need a disconnect anywhere power enters a building.
Bonjour Greg.,

That what I tought so but do you have the actual art number that can be backed up ? I know the solar system they are being rewritten on codewise so I will keep my ears open on this matter and comapred what our European counterparts doing with it as well.

Merci,
Marc

Does 690.13 sound like it applies to this?
That is further defined in 690.14(C)(1)

Gregg.,

It do ring the bell to me and the [C] is the keyword I am looking for.

It almost the same what we have in France { that will be rewritten sometime next year }
