I have a job where the drawings conflict with the specs. What takes precedent or as usual is it going to be a fight.
Specs take precedent over drawings.
More specifically each plan page takes precedent over the previous page, until the last page then the specs take precedent and follow the same rule with the last spec page taking precedent over everything.
Unless the specs are printed on a plan page, then its gets tricky.
At least this is how it works when you take it to court.
I know of no precedent of one over the other unless stated specifically in one of the documents.
Started the job already? While there was a conflict in them? RFI and price accordingly for the change to what you submitted - unless the change is dramatic there should not be a problem. Otherwise, I would tend to think the spec's would have presidence over plans. Either way it sounds like there are too many cooks in the kitchen.
