This has been discussed here several times. The consensus is not to show a breakdown. This avoids having questions raised about why you are charging $18 for a $12 GFI and the like. People that work by the hour also don't like to see EC's charging 2-3 times what they may make per hour. They forget about licenses, insurance, education, profits etc.

We use a contract for all work, they sign the contract, which has one total amount, the contract is their invoice.

What a novel idea.
