a (3}story multifamily residential building, a contractor says that outdoor receptacles on the second and third floor of the building are not required to have gfic protection,because the nec does not require outdoor receptacles for multifamiy dwellings according the sec#201.52(e) of the 2002 nec. My question is... if the outdoor receptacles where installed, should they be gfic protected per Sec # 210.8(a)3 ?

GFCI required.
