What are your feelings about this permission given for the use of busdrop cable?

Since the code is a reactive type document, I'm not having a problem with this type of installation. Seems there is no track record of a problem, what's the hazzard?

George:

No hazards have been noted, in fact the rule was added by an employee of GM to settle a problem, and was accepted.

This exception was questioned by a room full of industrial electricians today, during one of my classes in Harrisburg, PA, and they could not agree with the concept, especially when the installations could be going in many directions.

I posted this message in their behalf, and asked the spokesperson to come forward and tell us why he disagrees with the permission given.

Has anyone had any problems while using busdrop cables in this manner?
