I have used the search and not found the answer that I'm looking for. I am installing an indoor spa in a 128 S.F. new constuction bathroom. The spa has a 120v outlet cord allready attached to the motor. Where is a good location to install the outlet for this motor? Can the GFCI outlet be installed under the edge of the framework for the spa tub? And also do I have to have a disconnect if it has GFCI recepticle on it? Nothing I'm reading elsewhere seems to be clear. Please help... Thanks.
Spa? Hot tub? Hydromassage tub? Need more info

Sorry, it is a basic whirlpool type bathtub.

The pump and motor needs to be accessible. A removable hatch or door needs to be installed and the receptacle can be located under the rim near the pump/motor. Also, all metal piping, metal parts of electrical equipment and pump motors associated with the tub need to bonded together with a copper bonding jumper that is not smaller than a #8 solid(680-73 99NEC). No disconnect needed.
