Same project as the isolated ground question. The main gear is a panel group. All distribution panels and branch circuit panels are contained in one 30”deep 7’6” wide piece of gear. There is a contactor section in the middle. On this contactor board will be a pilot relay for every contactor. The pilot relays are 24VAC controlled by the EMAC system. These 24VAC control circuits are fed from class 2 power supplies. The wiring will have to chase through the gear to get to the contactor section. I believe this to be a violation of 725.55(A). Again, I was told, “ What’s the problem.” Am I all wet?

Nah..you're right Nick. This is such a typical case. Is there some way to keep 1/4in separation?

Nick,
I don't know if this is applicable to your case, but check 725.52(A) Exception #2. It seems to modify (read Trash) 725.55.
(Are you working from '02 Code?)
