failed home inspection. - ECN Electrical Forums

I've been retired for a few years.Just finished doing the finish electrical on my nephew's house which someone else roughed in. Here are the corrections I don't understand.
1")Motion sensor vanity lights 2 bathrooms." Do vanity lights now require motion sensors? very expensive.
2)"Dimmer Kitchen sink lite?" do kitchen sink lights now need to be on dimmers? why?

Ok, from the east coast side, NOT Ca., so there may be state energy codes that require what you are looking at.

No motion sensors are not required in resi baths
No, a dimmer is not required for kitchen sink light.

However, both may (here) be a 'design item', or requested by the H/O

We have a couple of folks here from the PRC but as John says, this is certainly not a NEC issue.
Is this a code inspector or a "home" inspector?The latter are notorious for not understanding codes and citing strange issues.
I poked around a little and Lutron has this on their page.

I did look at the actual code and it is not very intuitive to read. I was not really ready to wade through it.
