Here is the info given in the installation instruction from the oven manufacturer.

7200W, 240V dedicated 30Amp circuit

I know the minimum is 30A OCPD with # minimum #10 conductors.

Now for the maximum i figured 40Amps OCPD according to 422.11(E)(3)
30 x 150% = 37.5Amps

Am i correct on this?

Niko:
30 x 150% equates to 45 . 37.5 would equate to 125% of 30.

Math aside, some may interpert the nameplate as "30 amp max", as I read it....dedicated 30 amp circuit.

But if one doesn't interpret the name plate as the MAX, then one can use 30 x 150% and install a maximum 45A OCPD?

Thanks

Niko,
If I had to run a circuit to the oven, I would run #8's. If the oven draws 30 amps on full (Thanksgiving Dinner) then your wire size needs to be 8's onto a 40 amp Breaker. (4 wire)
Good Day
