Got rejected the other day for useing t-stat class 2 wire. does anyone know where i can find this in the code. this was a residental home wires ran through wood studs thanks
The requirement is for a Class 3 wiring method in the wall. Article 411.4, 2002 Ed.
725.61 e (4) says i can use in single family dewling? type CL2 wire is what im useing
2002 NEC Article 411 Section 411.4 Says you must use the wiring methods of Chapter 3 and CL2 wiring is in Chapter 7. This changes in the '05 a little bit but not completely.

You are using the wrong Article. Article 411 is Lighting Systems operating at 30 volt or less.
PS did you even consider the voltage drop using wiring that small? Most LV undercabinet lighting uses 10 Ga.

just a quick comment,12 volt lighting system would'nt that fall under 411
