With the new Art. 409 (Ind. Control Panels) in the 2005 NEC, I understand that the panel with two or more devices should be UL listed, or equivalent. The question that I have been trying to understand is under 409.110 - Marking. The statement "shall be marked with the following information that is plainly visible after installation" is under question here. What is your interpretation regarding "plainly visible".

Does this mean that all of the information in items 1 through 6 under 409.110 have to be on the outside of the enclosure/panel or can it be visible on the inside cover of the enclosure/panel?

I see no where the requirement for any of the info to be on the exterior. I think that I will write my specs to require the voltage/phase/Freq/current/arc flash marking to be on the exterior, the rest I don't care where as long as it is there in an easily accessible and readable local. Note: For those learning code, the arc flash warning is required NEC 110.16
