will a 6-3 romex fit in a 3/4" pvc?
not sure how to calculate the 53% single conductor.

thanx,

I believe for Southern Wire Corp the diameter is .683".

Take the largest diameter across the cable. Calculate the cross section area is if the cable were round with this diameter. (PI*D^2)/4

Divide this by the internal area of the conduit. If the answer is less than 0.53, you are good to go.

Looks like you need to go to 1"

assuming .683 diameter:

Area = Pi*r^2 = 3.14*.3415^2 = .366
assuming sched 40 PVC:
max allowable 53% fill area for 3/4" is .269 (too small)
max allowable 53% fill area for 1" is
.441 (that'll work)
