Can you quote me price and delivery on six of these?

Do you have any with grounded 3-prong outlets?

I have 1 of these that I pulled from my aunts old house (c. 1922) There were about 10 of these floating around, along with some matching surfex toggle switches. Her house pre-dated 3 prongs by about 30 years , as I'm guessing the surfex line did as well... Just curious if you're looking to complete a collection or some project...

I have a couple of grounded Eagle brand surface-mount sockets. New in the boxes.

Label says "Genuine Bakelite" [Linked Image]

Better quality than Cooper Electric's regular 2-pin ungrounded surface mount devices, that's for sure.

Guys,
This is the email as I got it.....in its entirety. I don't know if it was even meant to be posted.
I had hoped that Bill M. would post an explanation on the thread.

I have several of these devices, hidden away somewhere in the back of my shop...2 wire + G...I don't even remember where I got these things from. I do remember that the grip strength for the inserted connector wasn't all that great - some 16 awg and 14 awg cords would simply fall out. Hmmm... Could be the reason they are so well buried... Hmm,

Strange email. I removed the specific contact info so that we don't get complaints about classifieds in the Forum area.

Well....the Surfex type certainly has an interesting styling.

Were they very common? It's the second time I've seen a picture of one -- and I've never seen one in the flesh.

The most commonly seen surface-mount outlets here are the Eagle/Cooper types. Like this:

Grounded version I mentioned in a previous post (still manufactured)

or this one (also still manufactured)
