It says "Crompton-Parkinson Ltd Hayes Middlesex England", this company is still manufacturing Electrical gear!.

No, I didn't put in a bid.

The guy selling it reckons 1930s, which looks about right from the photos.

Trumpy — The true emeritus members of the instrumentation and physics community are spitting blood lately. What us young punks call "Eddy" currents are properly termed Edward or even more formally Edwardian Currents.   ;-)
