An Act to amend the Criminal Code (criminal liability of organizations)

Recently-passed changes to the Canadian Criminal Code will hold ALL organizations and individuals criminally liable if they fail to take reasonable steps to prevent workplace accidents.

I would like to talk about the actual ramifications of this Legislation.
And now the Questions:
  • How do you control your employees to an extent, that you know what they are doing every minute of the working day?
  • What ever happened to personal responsibility, in a workplace?.
    {The reason I ask this is because the boss normally gets lumbered with the cost when a guy has an accident, doing something stupid}
  • Why aren't Safety Officers given any powers to suspend workers that do stupid acts?.
    {That's their job isn't it?}
