http://www.bicsi.com

I have been doing maintenance electrical for about 11+ years.

6 years ago I added data /telecom to the resume.

One of the best decisions I've ever made.

Good luck.

You'll probably find info on data/com training at your local supply house. I found Leviton offers good classes. Good Luck!

P&S also offers some training on low voltage systems. My state requires a seperate license for any work under 90v, which I have. As for books, BICSI is the low voltage equivelent of the NEC. It is the main source of codes and requirements for telcos and voice/data installations. My company does a great deal of voice, data, video and audio installs. It brings about twice the profit of the standard electrical outlet.
