I am thinking about starting an electrical service to wire new and older homes, and light commercial work. I was wondering what and how much insurance that is good to start with. If any one could give me ideas it would be great.

Most of the small shops around here carry $1,000,000 of liability. You really should talk to an independent insurance agent as there are additional areas you need to cover.

Make sure you get a certificate of insurance from anyone you sub work to & this is also something to discuss with your agent.
