A couple less idiots in the world?
your right a couple of less idiots in the world.copper must be awfully hi to risk your life for.we have several here climb poles to cut copper wire loose & live.one cut the ground wires to a three phase bank in a substation & became part of the circuit.needless to say he didn't live long!
I have never seen copper power lines. They all seem to be aluminum alloy here.
Ive only seen one utility myself use copper for overhead lines, that was San Diego Gas & Electric... I think electure posted a pic of some of their "green" primaries before.
There is still a bunch of copper in the southeast, mostly 7200 volt stuff.
This is becoming a real epidemic.
