I have a friend that is 4th year but cannot pass his e-2 test. Just wondering if you need a licensed to work for a manufacturer. I do not believe so. I cannot find the info on the net. Any help. Thanks Sparks30

You don't need a license to work for a manufacturer in CT, but, you are limited to repairing cord and plug connected appliances and changing light bulbs. Any wiring at all requires an E-2 license, or to be working as a registered apprentice under the direct personal supervision of an E-2 or E-1.

Thanks for the info. Also found it in my CT contractors book.
