Hello everyone,
A quick question,
I installed a new outlet for a pool pump. 120 volt 20 amp circut on a gfi and timer. PVC pipe trenched 20 inches below ground with #12 thwn wire, stakeons where required the whole bit. It passed inspection but the big question was we used and damm i wish i had a camera, it was a metal post with 2 open sides for a outlet and switch. I could not find in the code book how high off the ground the outlet must be. Any help would be appreciated

This sounds more like a local call. If this was a well drained area where flooding is not an issue it might even go in a Cristy box but at the beach, bayou or river front you could be looking at the datum plane for guidance.
Geerally if it is high enough to avoid the weed eater I am OK with them.

It's not specified... But I'll just roll the "outlet hieght dice"..... [Linked Image] 18" It wont win in Vegas, but it's a good number. And acceptable to the ADA....
