That is a good price, Mark. Nearest equivalent for me would be the [separate priced] 14.4v 'jampot' 3/sp DeWalt Combi at =US $392.00 and the 12v Dewalt Impact Driver at =US $365.00- [? can't source a 14.4v, but the 18v model is =US $547.00!! ]. Total= =US $757.00 WITHOUT the bag, inc 17.5% UK Sales Tax. These are cut-throat mail-order prices out of the UK, so need to add carriage/pack to that.
BUY!!

Just spotted a fanciable 28v Combi Li-ion Milwaukee on the cover of my new tool catalog. [Turns hurredly to page 735.] Geez!!!! - it's $730!!
What would continental Americans pay, just to make my weekend?

Not sure what is in the Milwaukee Combi you're talking about but I saw a drill, Hack saw, circ saw batteries and I believe some other tool, 28v milwaukee for 600 at Home Depot.

walrus,
the link should pop up a link for a Impact and hammerdrill for $215....

Walrus, thanks. The price was just the drill, charger, carry case and 2 x 3AH batteries. No other tools. By 'combi' they mean drill/hammer, and use terms like 'twinpack', 'triple pack', '4-piece combo' etc. to describe multiple tool sets sharing batteries.
Spare M'ee Li-ion battery? Only $273.75!
Spare M'ee charger? Only $109.50!
I get depressed reading 'American Woodworker' & comparing prices sometimes. No wonder Norm has a massive drawer chock-full o' Makita routers and I only got 2!

Alan

PS, You can now get a 'no-pack'!!!, Ryobi are selling portables with no batteries at all!! The mind boggles at the thought of some bozo sending one back 'cos it don't woik!
amended to add; you are supposed to buy 1 or 2 18v batteries plus the tools separately.
Batteries from £20-£30.00 each, tools [example] impact driver £70.00 are very low priced [for here[, not sure if they are DYI models or not.

PS. Mark, from your earlier post some time back, I took your advice and bought a Makita 12v Impact for £214.00 sterling. Boy, what a revelation in driving screws... Thanks!
The 'jampot' Dewalts with the 3SP metal gearbox per pic have good reports from UK friends who have bought them BTW.

I have always used Milwaukee.
Unfortunately, it seems their jobsite radio will operate on the batteries, but not charge batteries. Am I mistaken?

Yes on the Milwaukee radio, no charger. Its a great radio though [Linked Image]

Litium ion battery 28v at a local dealer here in Maine is 125 bucks or so. I imagne they can be had for alittle over a 100 online somewhere.
Anyone see the car they made on Discoveries Monster garage powered by a few hundred 28v Milwaukee batteries [Linked Image]. The battery cost was unreal, can't remember the exact figure. The car went well though, 94 mph, 1/4 mile

That's a great deal for the 14.4volt. But after using the 18volt version there's no way I could "settle for" the 14.4.

Speaking of radios, I sure wish Dewalt would make a fancy radio like Bosch does with the CD player. Other than having the CD player, I have no Bosch tools so I have no use for the radio/ cd player. I just wish Dewalt would make one.

They have a simular deal for $280 in the 18v version.
