Thanks for all you in put on my new truck. Went with the Dodge Ram 4x4 250 HD w/Cummins 6 speed knocking down 18.5 mpg. I am looking at ARE caps anyone have a preferance on caps? What not to get, what equipment to have to male my life easy?

I have seen the ARE caps with the toolboxes built in on the sides. They are impressive. I have a Monroe Docktop and wish it was an ARE. The Monroe is similar but doesn't sit on the bed sides, it sits on the floor. I like that feature but it is made out of steel and weighs about 1000lbs empty! It also sticks up about 10" above the cab creating a lot of drag. A carpenter friend of mine has an ARE and it has held up very well the past 4 years. It is very light at around 400lbs empty. With an ARE I would probably get another 3-5 mpg out of my truck. Good luck with your new rig!!!
