Has anyone wired for a mini split? I have to rough in for a 1 ton. I was wondering if the indoor unit is powered by the connecting cable that runs from the condensing unit to the blower or does it require a circuit of it's own? It is a GE unit.
thanks...

The ones that I've wired...not GE... have taken a common supply circuit. As a matter of fact, they have had full voltage controls.
Your answer should be in the installation instructions.

Electure,
I've wired Carrier and various other brands.
As far as I'm aware (out on a limb here) A/C units use a 5 core cable between the Evaporator and the Condensor unit, size of wire 1.5mm2 in my language.
The load is usually only a fan motor and few control circuits at the Condensor end.
Allow 8 wires, I will say this.

As already stated here, best bet is to get a hold of the installation literature.

I have wired a couple recently that were fed with a 15 amp 120v circuit to the outdoor condensor unit. The indoor fan unit was powered by 36v dc supplied from the outdoor unit via a 4 wire 18awg cable.
