What are some examples of a "listed electrical protective system with a 1 hr fire rating" as referred to in the NEC section referenced above. Have an existing fire pump installation (not installed correctly at this time) where the AHJ will require an outside disconnecting means. Options 1 & 2 may not be practical. The fire pump controller is located about 10 foot inside the building.

I think they mean type MI cable. I saw it for the first time last year being used for the fire pump in a nursing home. I had to trace it to the fire pump room cuz it looked like 1/2" copper tubing with orange Brady 480 v. stickers on it. It ain't cheap.

They went with burying the raceway in concrete on a job I inspected.
