Thought this was an interesting story. Anything to help solar go mainstream.

The $30,000 system will save the school roughly $60 a month in electricity costs...

Which is about a 2.4% return before figuring in cost-of-funds, and big loser after figuring in cost-of-funds. (In other words, the system never pays for itself, and the gap keeps getting bigger over time.)

It continues to amaze me how journalists can present something like that with a straight face and not comment on the absurdity of the statement.

If it teaches our children the fact of there is other source of power or teaches them to conserve then its worth its weight in gold! IF it teaches our children anything as a matter of fact then is worth its weight weither it returns the school dist money or not!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
