Bill:

Is this thread a place for any type of discussion?

Must the subject be related to electricity?

Joe,
My dad, now 79 years old, has been a motorcycle nut since he built his first one out of an old bycycle and a Maytag washing machine engine about 1936. His first "bought" motorcycle was a 1939 knucklehead in 1941. The last bike he had was a 1945 Harley 45 he bought from a guy in 4 bushel baskets. Dad had been the original owner and had sold it in 1959. He bought it back in pieces in 1979 for $50.00 and restored it. He sold it in 1987 for $7500.00 and that was too cheap! Dad has been a dealer for Harley and Indian parts for over 40 years. He is the only one known in this area to re-lace and true wheels of every make and model. He knows every spoke pattern ever used on a bike. He has re-built from the ground up over 25 bikes; from Harleys and Indians to Hondas. He saved his gasoline rationing stamps during WWII and he and my mom took their honeymoon on that 39 knucklehead from Indiana down through the Great Smokie Mountains. Dad had to eat lefthanded for a week after they got back because he couldn't hold a fork in his right hand.

I have a '73 Indian ME 100 (basket case right now)...

My buddy Yukon's (guitarist in Fat Headed Monster) dad has a 1965 Indian "Enfield 750"... the only one made, Serial # PTYPE00001, among about a dozen other Indians and Harleys (Rice Burners too!)

Cool Huhn!

Oh! BTW Sweet lookin' specimen, there Joe...

Uh, what's this got to do with batteries?

$490?!?!?!?! Is that price for real?

Jeez I paid $350 for a '73 Suzuki TS 125 that has broken down three times before the first tank of gas has run out...

Not electrical related but an interesting subject. I like old MC too, I have a 77 XT-500 Yamaha in real nice condition, getting close to being vintage.. I guess.
