I upgraded from a 1/2 to a 3/4 ton HD 04' Chevy truck, and what a difference in load capacity.

It should say the exact amount in the drivers side door jamb. If you have the owners manual it might be of help.

I can't say about the latest Chevys but in the past not all 3/4 ton trucks had the same rating. It depends on the spring rate, axles, tires, and breaks. I know some 3/4 tons have the same axles as a 1 ton where others are the same as a 1/2 ton. for example look at the number and size of the lug nuts. Some 3/4 have 5 where others have more and they are much larger.

The redesign in these GM vans for 96 was a *huge* improvement. It put a full frame under the thing, and some decent axles. No more 5-lug 3/4-ton.

Built just like a Ford E-series now [Linked Image]

Thanks to the Japanese, and others, U.S. is buiding some real nice trucks now.
It has the Vortec 6 liter, lots of torque. My previous truck had the 5.3 liter which is another great engine.
