I am looking to buy a tracer set to use mainly for residental work I was looking at the Amprobe AT 4004 or the AT 2004. I am not sure what the differance is between the two. I was also looking at the greenlee 2011 but it looks like the amprobe may have more features. Any input would be appreciated

I've got the AT 2004. It is very good and worth every penny, however I think for about half the price you can get about the same ability. We hardly ever use the clamp on attachment or the non-powered signal generator(live wires). Maybe you need them, but I don't. For most situations, we can find the EXACT location of the wire.

I have the AT 2004 and use it all the time. Have had very good results with it. Did not like the Greenlee models.
Amprobe makes 4 models in the 2000 series. Depending on the features you need there is one for you. I use all the features of the 2004.
