More spousal abuse occurs on super bowl sunday than on any other day of the year.

Peak water consumption in the United States occurs at half time of the super bowl.

Any body else have any interesting tidbits?

Let's go no further here about Ms Jackson and/or the Half-time show Please.

Thank you for your understanding.

There are more avocadoes consumed on Super Bowl Sunday (in the form of Guacamole) than any other day of the year, with the exception of Cinco de Mayo.
Also, there are more drunk driving accidents than any other 8 hour period of the year [Linked Image]

In our house there were more 'other' tasks (cleaning, sorting, laundry-doing, etc) than most other Sundays.

We had a reasonable compromise as my hubby watched a decent game and puttered around during commercials and I watched commercials once in a while though they didnt' seem to meet my expectations. (Bar of soap was my top choice although I think it's still not up to par with prior years' commercials).

Neither one of us watched more than a minute or two of the half-time show and only that while we were passing through the family room. We've agreed that we're just as happy to not have seen it this year....

Eventually we'll see the Red Sox sock it to the Yankees and when that happens, I'll be dancing in the street with a lampshade on my head.

Having the Yanks win series after series does get downright boring. Yawn. [Linked Image]

Does anyone actually watch the halftime show anymore?

I only watch for the 1/2 time show.
With alot of the plays that were made in the game, it was borderline professional wrestling.

So much for Red Sox Magic! [Linked Image]
