Can the NCPCCI tests be taken independent of affiliation with the states or organizations that recognize the certification?
In other words, can you take the exam for "personal satisfaction".
I called Experior a while back and got the impression that you needed to be associated with a group to take the test.
BTW,
I am an associate menber of IAEI.

I believe that if you pay your money, you can take your test, especially if you are affiliated with the IAEI. I recall no box on the application form that required your substantiation of any affiliation. I took the –3- tests in February of this year, [and thankfully passed], since I wanted to do so in their 1999NEC code cycle. They have since progressed to the 2002 NEC. When you do pass make sure the IAEI gets notified. Perhaps its petty, but it was nice to see my name listed under Member Achievements in the IAEI magazine.

Good Luck!

Redsy

All you need to do is fill out an application, pay the fee, schedule the test and away you go. This can all be done from the comfort of your home if you want to.
