I worked on that sucker for a month. I'm trying to get some input to deside on the next step. Add another calculator or continue adding value to this one like conductor sizing, load chart or room for contrator message or logo to be added to the result page. The results are made to be printed on a single page. Let me know what you think.

Very nice except I got

"Microsoft VBScript runtime error '800a000d'
Type mismatch: 'Dryers'
/resultSFDLoadCalc.asp, line 259"

Instead of an answer

Ron,
While the calculator does check most of the input from the user before processing, I have yet to cover everything. Thanks for pointing this out. This error in particular was probably cause by something other than a number being entered in the Clothes Dryers input (i.e. "5000va"). Thanks again for the info.

It's good. Nice for selling service work. I think some would believe a computer print out over me.

Along with the compliments on the calculator itself, and I agree, I would like to say thank you for this.

We will both be thankful for that Rodger.

Active 1 the printed results are intended as a value added service for you to use how ever you see fit. Customer reassurance is a good use. It also shows you did do a calculation, not that any one would install without a calculation. Another use is to place a copy in the panel to aid the electrician adding circuits after your gone.
If you do decide to leave a copy behind BE SURE it's correct!

A gotcha to be aware of:
Cooking Appliances - Enter in kVA not Va
Entering the wrong one will generate errant results!

Thanks to all who have responded your input is most appreciated!

When I try to log on to the calculator, most of the screen is blacked-out, why?
Posted By: Vickrey Re: Residential Load Calculator - 05/31/03 04:58 PM
Marc - This is only the first of more to come.

Gwz - Do you see the calculator?
Initially a black screen is presented while the rest is being loaded (currenty 13kb).
If you don't see the calculator then it hasn't finished downloading for what ever reason. Most likely a slow connection.
Try waiting until the status bar at the bottom of your browser says Done.
Also it is possible you cought me updating the file. I continue to work on this calculator making improvements several times a day. You can now use it to figure feeder sizes by entering zeros in fields not to be included in the calculation.
