My user name is TRUE POWER, it has been a long time since I was able to log on. I am a license electrician from Jamaica in the Caribbean who has been working in Grand Cayman for over 10 years. I would like to challenge my self by sitting the master electrical exam but I am not qualified by Cayman's law. The law states that you must be a Caymanian or have residency with the right to work. If you however possess a license from another accepted jurisdiction then it will be accepted.

Do you know of any state in America which would allow me to sit the master electrical exam the fact I am not an American.

IMHO, the Board of Examiners here in New Jersey requires 'legal residency'. I would guess that means a 'Green Card' or whatever is issued to legal immigrants to the US.

You could contact the Board for an official answer.

So, Larry, let me get this straight......
You have worked as a qualified electrician in the Cayman's for 10 years, have you grown up there?

Also, have you sat any sort of an apprenticeship in the Cayman's?, this is the ONE thing after an apprentice finishes their time, that will hinder their progress forward, especially if your boss won't fill out your "completion of apprenticeship" certificate, for whatever reason.

Are you looking to move to the US to work or are you already there?

There are so many un-answered questions in your post.
