We are doing work at a factory here with all DC motors for the conveyor systems. The gentleman wants each of the 7 DC motors to have disconnects at the motor (3/4 hp DC motors).

No switch in the Leviton book is rated for DC. Is it permissible to use AC motor control switches for DC? Nothing on the Leviton website or in their product catalog says anything about DC switches.

Switch in question is the Manual Motor Start toggle switch.(Leviton MS402)

Dear Sandro,
You know as per IEC standards AC-22 duty is for switching resitive and inductive loads .Now in DC we don't have inductance hence AC-21 duty switches should work.Check out websites of SOCOMEC,MEM,CUTLER HAMMER.
