Does anyone have a link to simple household wiring diagrams?
Single pole switch to light. - 3-way switch and light. - wiring a receptacle. - wiring a light with a switch leg and a continuous hot for a receptacle(garage door).
My friends in the trades are always asking for a diagram I can send them so they don't have to call me!
I'd be glad to send them but I don't have any links.

Rowd:
Look at Scott35's area in the Tech Section, on the ECN Home Page (bottom)

You should find what you want

Friends in the trade. Now there's an omninous term. I have several diagrams. They are all in my head. Rather difficult to print out and distribute. Possibly your "friends in the trade" could buy a book on blueprint reading. They are availabke at Amazon dot combob

Thanks Rick. [Linked Image] The site looks like it's down right now but I'll check back in a few and see if it's up and running.

So THAT's how you do it! All joking aside. This site has pretty basic stuff folks. Aren't you licensed, bonded, insured electricians afraid of sharing your expertise with journeyman wannabee contractors? What if they misunderstand your directions and end up hurting someone? Could you be held liable for damages? This kind of syuff scares me more than facing the consequences of answering for something I installed myself.I'm sorry. If you have to ask me for a diagram explaining how to do it, you need me to do it for you.
