Anyone have some suggestions on how to properly terminate larger wires in panels? I'm faced with a 200A panel but we are sub feeding a seperate 100A panel on the second floor of the house. 3C #2 AL NMD cable is what we used. The problem now is that the neutral busbar has all the same size holes to terminate and they are all only good for up to #4. The panel is an Eaton Cuttler Hammer.
Granted, Canadian code may have something to say on it. Most neutral busses allow a lug kit to be installed to allow a bigger wire to be terminated on them
Yup, what he said. They make a big lug with a couple of legs that grab 2 slots. Look in the accessory catalog for your panel.
I agree with sparkyinak use a lug kit for that panel so long as the panel is rated for a subpanel.
