Clothes Dryer - Follow-up Question - 01/07/03 11:13 PM
Hi, again.
Please refer to the thread:
https://www.electrical-contractor.net/ubb/Forum1/HTML/002267.html
I happened across a site today that shows the way mine is installed:
http://repair2000.com/cord.html
(Mine actually was installed with a strain-relief on the outside of the rear of the dryer which doesn't do very much good, I would think...)
So, here is my question: What is the advantage of having the 4-conductor rather than the 3-conductor cable?
I realize that this is the latest NEC regulation. Is there a safety issue involved?
