Has anyone came across the problem with the "in-use" covers fitting in the outlets fittings that vinyl siding men put in for them? I always have to "rig" it up to get the in-use covers to fit inside the opening. I have to use long 6/32 screws and a spacer to get it to come out far enough for the cover to open, then caulk it to make it look decent and to keep water out. Surely there's a manufacturer that's come across this problem. Thanks, Steve

I had a few recently that I could not open enough to test the GFIs. Left a red tag, for that & a few other annoying little things.

Re-inspect should be coming up soon?

Vinyl siding should be outlawed (IMHO).

They don't have a lot of Vinyl here in Florida. It is hard to get it installed to a 130MPH wind code.
The defacto standard here is concrete block and stucco.
If they use the right Arlington "in box" you end up with a very clean installation.
