What's difference between an NQ and a NQOD panelboard? I'm stumped. I know. I was shocked too...
This is what SqD has to say about it
http://static.schneider-electric.us...nch-Circuit%20Panelboards/1640DB0702.pdfIt probably does not answer your question. They just seem to be different ways to skin a cat.
It appears that the NQ line is the new and improved NQOD. Parts are not necessary cross compatible. Thanx for the link. Ive been looking for something for a while now.
I had the same issue with another document. I had an old Square D manual that had wiring diagrams and symbols in it. Its a good referance manual. I couldn't locate my ol' hard copy and could not find it on their website no matter how I searched for it. I finally found my hard copy, punched in the manual number, and poof, right there on my screen. Just gotta know what to punch in the search engine.
The SqD site is a wealth of information, it is just hard to navigate. Bussman has a good site too but has the same problem.
NQOD = NQ Old Dimensions?
That is, SqD came up with new bussing -- BUT -- still provides/supports an older panel can?
( Taking a stab -- too lazy to look up in the catalog... )
One difference between the NQ and NQOD panelboards is that the NQ is available in 72 and 84 space versions (per the 2008NEC).
The NQOD has "only" a 54 space maximum version.
Yeah, copy that. The NQ panels are the new/improved over the NQOD. The NQOD was the new/improved over the NQOB ...
and so on ...
Thanx for info fellow sparktaians and welcome to the message board kbsparky! What is your story?
