I have a client who has 3 UPS system with a total 10KVA capacity. They currently have a 30Amp feeder with a Subpanel in the communication room.
They have asked me to install a 60Amp feeder for additional UPS units.

here are the question/s that i have.
>I assume i need to have a disconnect within site of the UPS units? Right?
>I will size the feeders to 125%?
>Existing, the UPS feeds the Existing sub panel by a SOO cord, is that O.K.

Thank you for your input

Niko:

Yes to the disconnect.
125% is OK
Possibly OK, but more info is needed. Is the connection from the UPS via a cord cap? Is there frequent 'swapping' of the UPS? IF yes, then the cord could be acceptable.

There is no frequent swapping of UPS. Currently the UPS is cord & cap connected to the feeder receptacle sized 6AWG then the UPS feeds the subpanel sized 6AWG cord.
