Hey guys,
I have a customer who had installed a bunch of square D bus duct. Now he has 5 machines to be hooked up. All the disconnects are there already. The problem is they are fusable disconnects. The only information i can get out of the dicconnects was that they take type j fuses. It looks like a typical knife blade cartridge fuse, but when i type type j into the fuse companies web site not all the fuses have the blade on them? Am I missing something here. What does the J mean anyway. Any info would be helpfull

Bussman fuse site should have all the info you need.
1-60 amp are ferrule type
larger to 600 amp are knife blade

Go to Bussman or little fuse site

LPJ-60SP is a 60 amp, LoPeak Bussman

Type J fuses look just like "normal" fuses, except they are not as long.
