What does everybody have set up for Monday?
My Monday is to replace a 100 amp Main Breaker in a ITE 20 circuit panel and get it ready for inspection,
Replace ballast in outdoor sign in front of the beauty shop that cuts my hair, and replace breaker there and fix a few lights.

Going to try to finish a trim-out (if all the stuff is there...) I'm in the "gotta finish one of these jobs so I can get paid" mode. Been spreading myself pretty thin lately... (I did take three days off for Thanksgiving, and only worked three hours on Friday).

May have my new helper wth me, he passed his test with a 93% (I think he said). His old job is still a few days behind due to the weather, so he won't be available just yet, weather permitting.

Plenty of work, and it could easily explode into more...

Then again, the bottom could fall out of the whole thing!

Part of the biz...

Barring any emergencies, I continue roughing in a small but detailed single family guest dwelling.

I have three things planned for Monday.

First is to install some breaker locks and a sign for a main shunt trip on a store I remodeled. This will finish the job. The fire marshall is comming for his final inspection on Monday as well. The store is about a 45 minute drive one way from our shop.

From there I need to finish rewiring an ansul system I started last Wednesday but didn't finish. It is in a nursing home on the other side of town.

The last thing I have going is I need to locate a break in the underground feeder for the weather equipment at the local airport. The service is located on one end of the airport property and the equipment is about 1500 feet away. I didn't have time on Wednesday to really do more than troubleshoot the problem. Will have to go back with a cable tracer to locate and repair the break.

I was off on Friday, had a nice four day weekend.

Well, Monday's almost over in this part of the world now.

Haven't done much electtrical work at all today, other than checking out some phone wiring for someone (turned out to be an outside line problem in the end, so no more work needed on my part).

I've been wearing one of my other hats today, updating software I wrote to help run the local taxi service. Probably back to the wiring on Wednesday.....

Sparky,
Where in VT? I live in Mass now, but folks still live in Essex Jct. I think it depends on where in VT for your weekend warrior analogy.

Well, today I inspected 1 commercial building with a 1600 amp service, 9 meters. 5 new services residential, 8 rough inspections residential. 1 outside hot tub, and 2 final inspections. Most passed inspection, but a couple of them failed. When ever there is a holiday (Or a short week) the work load always doubles the week we get back to work.

Good thing monday was open Got a call about a fire alarm system that was disabled on last wed.nite for what the nite maint guy thought was a false alarm.
Of course management wants it fixed right now. and "why didn't you work on this thursday?"
Manager now does not like full story
Some one pulled a pull station, fire alarm worked, fire dept responded, maint guy tells fire dept no fire and shuts down alarm system -leave his boss a note for after the holiday weekend ( business closed on fri)
was only the 15th pull station I checked to find which one was pulled and not reset.
I know they will hate my bill

as it is now tuesday morning, its pretty obvious that my monday schedule is now 24 hrs. behind schedule!.. [Linked Image]....actually, things were going pretty well monday morning, until 7:03 a.m., (i get to work by seven). someone cut the lock on the back gate, entered our "high-tech, secure" parking area, and syphoned all the gas from our service trucks, as well as stealing a couple of batteries, and a spare tire........
just another day in "paradise"...... [Linked Image]

hope you all have a safe, (and profitable) week!

Hey Gramps:
If all I lost was gas, batteries & tires I wouldn't be to unhappy....
Went to our shop on Thursday (Thanksgiving) to fix the wife's vac...drove by to check the trucks..
Ford 350 van...pass. door glass on ground
rear cargo door glass on ground....van almost empty.

Ford F700 bucket w/utility body....drivers door glass on ground...drivers side utility doors (5) are beat to crap......

Still getting the "lists" ready for the cops and the insurance guys....

Then Saturday 11/30; taking my boat out for the season, and trailering it to the house (1/4 mile) the winch cable snapped & the boat rolled off the trailer......

So far Monday, Tues, Wed., are good days.
John
