I've been replacing bulbs for sometime at a retail shoe store. They have Juno track lighting through out to highlight their products. The heat from the PAR 20 bulbs is making components in the track heads to go bad after a year or so. I have replaced probably 10 heads thus far. I'm certain the heat is the culprit.
I'm wanting to know what LED bulb people have had success with in applications like this. The owner is pretty much sold on the look of the PAR 20 so we need to be close to it.

How about CFL?

RUN, don't walk from "Energy Bright" LED lamps. We tried these on some commercial apps, and they had to all be replaced within weeks. Steady smoke even came out of one of the bulbs alarming the store owner. Imagine how that made "us" look. I have no reason to doubt that the PAR line of their LED lamps are of the same poor quality.

We tried our luck with the Standard brand LED MR16 lamps and they are much better.
