I THOUGHT I HAD FOUND THE SOLUTION. NO SUCH LUCK. ART. 210.63 REQUIRES AN OUTLET FOR HVAC UNITS. MILBANK MAKES A NEW UNIT THAT CLAIMS TO DO THIS, IT DOES BUT YOU STILL HALF TO RUN 2 CIRCUITS(240V FOR AC AND 120V FOR OUTLET). DOES ANYONE KNOW OF A COMBO AC NONFUSED DISCONNECT WITH A FUSED GFI OFF THE SAME CIRCUIT?

you can run a netural with the 240 volt circuit,then you can tap/ and fuse down on the line side of the ac disconnect unit to a 120v 15 of 20 amp circuit

That sounds like a lot of work to "tap & fuse down" for the "hot" leg for 120 volt.
If you are "pulling a neutral" why not just pull a hot with it?? #12 or #10 THHN is hell of a lot cheaper than a tap & in-line fuse. Also, more than likely, you may be violating the UL Label and/or listing for the disco. The lugs in most disco's are only listed/rated for 1 conductor, so how would you make the "tap".

To respond to your post; no, haven't seen a disco/gfi combo like you want....

We do it the "old fashioned" way; pull the circuit, hot, neutral, ground....
Most of the specs write it that way...
Most of the units are 480 anyway......

LET ME BE A LITTLE MORE CLEAR. I'M TALKING ABOUT HOOKING UP A NEW UNIT IN AN EXISTING HOUSE, WHERE CIRCUITS ARE HARD TO FIND SOMETIMES, PLUS GETTING AN EXTRA ROMEX THRU THE HOUSE ISN'T ALWAYS THAT EASY.

Yes, it's tough to get circuits through a lot of times....
That's part of the job.
Please don't take my comments as being "smart AxxED", but the nature of the beast that we earn our living from is not always a "cake walk"
We run into situations where you may have to go 500' to get a 120 circuit, with a 40' ceiling/roofdeck building..

I have not seen a disco like you described, have you searched the mfg websites? Called Cutler-Hammer area sales rep, or Square-D?

I saw a Spa Disconnect / GFCI with a 1 pole 15 amp breaker built into it, which drove a 15 amp 125 VAC duplex receptacle mounted below via offset nipple.

Seems like it was a Cutler - Hammer setup with a GE type THQ 15 amp breaker inside the enclosure where the GFCI controlled Contactor is also mounted.

This would of course be for a 120/240 VAC 3 wire branch circuit [50 amp], but it might be what you are looking for.
