Who makes good meter leads?
I have a bag of them and I hate them all. The ones with slip on (banana plug) accessories always seem to come unplugged when you least want it to happen and most of the ones with fixed alligator clips seem to be meant for low voltage with mediocre insulation. I used to have a set with fixed (point) probes and screw on alligator clips that fit over the probe but they are in the wind.

for the record I have a T5-1000, I was a little bit worried about it having permanently attached leads, with the probes being bannana-plugs, but I've had it for a little over a year now, and they're still gripping strong

I have several sets of various Fluke leads and they all have the push on (AKA pop off) tips. The retracting spring loaded safety shield just makes that problem worse since it tends to shoot the clip across the room. I usually tape them on
I am not sure if OSHA made a rule or what but I can't seem to find the point probe with the screw on alligator clip.

Stanley Supply Services, formerly Jensen, then formerly Contact East, has a set of “Softie” flexible probe test leads with screw on alligator clips and a couple of other attachments for $24.90. They are item # 416-290 on page 116 of their 2007 catalog. I don’t know who makes them and can’t vouch for the quality, but they may work for you. For years I have just use the small Fluke AC72 push on alligator clips with the standard TL75 test leads that came with my Fluke 33, 36 and 337 and 87 meters. The clips are rated for 600V and I rarely have trouble with them popping off, but yes, it has happened. Since I generally use a clamp meter though, I use the current clamp as a hook to hang the meter so there’s normally very little strain on the alligator clips and test leads anyway. The clips fit nicely in the bottom of the case when not being used.

Thanks Jay, that is exactly the set I was talking about. I probably got them from Jensen. That is where I used to buy a lot of tools. I carried a JTK-6 (tool kit) for 20 years. I still have one in my car.

I like the TL20 test lead set from Fluke for "electrical" type work. Ruggedly built, with heavy insulated probes and clips.
